For the Gdańskie Autobusy i Tramwaje we carried out the investment task entitled: “Delivery and installation of two tram turnouts with manual control mechanisms together with delivery and replacement of tracks at the Tram Depot Gdańsk-Nowy Port”.
The works were carried out from 15 April 2024 to 17 May 2024.
The scope of the task included:

demolition of steel permanent way and paving stone within the area of replaced turnouts, inserts;

earthworks;
-
construction of ballast substructure at a depth of 15 cm under the sleeper/switch sleeper;
-
delivery and replacement of about 35 meters of single track on pre-stressed concrete sleepers;
-
delivery and installation of two turnouts on pre-stressed concrete switch sleepers, along with ballasting, tamping, profiling and connecting to the existing switch heating systems and the existing drainage network;
-
delivery and installation of two manual control mechanisms;
-
installation of fish plate joints using the thermite welding method;
-
alteration of the stone pavement within the replaced turnouts and insets.
