Alteration of the Gliwice Port station with adjusting the tracks to the length of trains of at least 800 m as part of the program entitled: “Improving safety and eliminating operational hazards on the railway network” The task was performed by a consortium of SILTOR (leader) and KZN Rail.
The works with a value of almost PLN 40 million (gross) were completed between 13 July 2017 and 30 November 2018.

The object of the contract included:
- Preparation of detailed documentation for all industries (including modernization of more than seven kilometers of track, installation of a dozen turnouts, diamond crossings and buffer stops, drainage and dewatering; installation of point machines, signal lights and wheel sensors; up to wheel sensor – 42 pcs; installation and commissioning of the station Modest Gemini control command and signaling system and SUZ power supply; modernization of the catenary; installation of a new turnout heating system and LED lighting on poles of Gliwice Port station; renovation of the executive control station building);
- Execution of construction works in the design and build formula;
- Preparation of the as-built documentation, the surveying and cartographic documentation, terminal inspection report;
- Execution of the certification process for design documentation, equipment and structures intended for railway traffic management, as well as interoperability and subsystem components.
