Between 2018 and 2021, a consortium of companies consisting of KZN Rail (leader) and Wadoma (partner) carried out the modernization of 36 level crossings for PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. under the contract “Improving Safety at Crossings of Railway Lines and Roads – Stage I – Level Crossing Part”.
The scope of works included a design part, consisting in the development of design documentation and obtaining all the necessary decisions and permits; as well as a construction and assembly part, which included track and road works, railway automation, telecommunications and power devices. As part of this model, 36 road-rail intersections have been upgraded in the Railway Track Unit areas of Częstochowa, Kielce, Kraków, Nowy Sącz, Rzeszów and Sosnowiec.
The total value of the task was a little over PLN 50,000,000 gross.
