Modernization of the track and overhead line system at the Service and Maintenance Facility in Chorzów

As part of the investment task entitled "Modernisation of the track and catenary system at the Maintenance and Service Depot in Chorzów", implemented under the Project entitled: "Integrated Project for the Modernisation and Development of Tram Infrastructure in the Silesian–Dąbrowa Agglomeration along with the Purchase of Tram Rolling Stock – Stage I", KZN Rail Sp. z o.o. carried out the reconstruction of the track system along with associated works, which included:

• construction of tram tracks using the continuous pour technology – 435 track meters

• installation of 10 sets of single turnouts using the continuous pour technology, including the installation of 2 track crossings and a complete turnout heating system

• construction of tram tracks using floating rail technology (so-called ERS) – 26 track meters

• installation of 2 sets of rail lubricators

• construction of ballasted tram tracks – 252 track meters

• laying of stone paving – 2,763 m²

• installation of approx. 1,024 m² of full asphalt concrete road surface

• construction of linear drainage – approx. 98 linear meters

• installation of stormwater drainage – approx. 715 linear meters
