Katowice

Alteration of the tram track in Szopienice district of Katowice included a total of about 1179 meters of single track. As part of it, we performed a comprehensive replacement of the structure, i.e. cement-stabilized soil, substructure layers and track grid. We constructed 1110 meters of single track of with ballast on pre-stressed concrete sleepers with vibration isolation inserts, 36 meters of single track on prefabricated slabs using the ERS flexible rail fixing system, and 33 meters of single track on continuous grout on the modernized bridge. A new rainwater drainage system along with a pumping station and track drainage were constructed. The catenary has been adjusted and a system of lubricators was installed; a new traffic light with priority for trams has been launched.

Citizens also benefit from new tram platforms including a platform where the road surface is elevated to the height of the pavement.

The task was performed from 25 January 2023 to 28 September 2023 and its value amounted to PLN 7,919,789.38 net
