As part of the project entitled "Renovation of the stabling yard comprising Tracks 11–13, including underground infrastructure, refurbishment of inspection pits in TT6 and TT7 maintenance halls, floor refurbishment, replacement of 19 entrance and exit doors, roof refurbishment, and lighting replacement at the Podgórze Tram Maintenance Depot, 3 Jana Brożka Street, Kraków," KZN Rail Sp. z o.o. carried out comprehensive track works.
The project was executed between 11 August 2025 and 30 October 2025 and included the modernization of the tram depot's track infrastructure.
Scope of Works
- Demolition of the existing track infrastructure.
- Construction of 300 track metres of track using 60R2 rails with the discrete (spot) rail support grouting technology.
- Construction of 48.6 track metres of track using 60R2 rails in an inspection pit on HEB steel beams, including the installation of an anchoring assembly.
- Construction of 35 track metres of track using 60E1 rails on a reinforced concrete inspection pit employing the continuous rail support grouting technology.
