As part of the works performed under the title “Low-emission urban transport program – construction of road and tram viaducts in Przybyszewskiego Street in Łódź and track alteration in Przybyszewskiego Street in the section from the connection with the viaduct alteration project to Lodowa Street” for Przedsiębiorstwo Usług Technicznych INTERCOR Sp. z o.o., which involved tram track alteration along Przybyszewskiego Street in Łódź, a number of advanced installation works were carried out, using various track laying technologies.
Track installation works have been using prefabricated track slabs – 60R2 rail track along a section of 1254 meters of single track and 266 meters of single track using Hungarian Lk1 rails on the tramway viaduct.
The project also included the construction of 40 meters of single track in the continuous grout technology.
Four sets of expansion joints from LK1 rails were installed at the viaduct in prefabricated track slabs.
Two sets of compromise rails were installed at the connection with the existing track.
The works were carried out between April and September 2024
