Work at the modern technical facility in Przemyśl Bakończyce is progressing at full speed.

Work at the new state-of-the-art technical maintenance facility for PKP Intercity in Przemyśl Bakończyce is progressing at full speed! The past few weeks have been marked by intensive construction activities, equipment installations, and key testing phases.
 

Maintenance Hall, Train Wash & Administration Building
Installation of the specialist resin flooring in the train wash and maintenance hall is nearing completion, while the rooftop photovoltaic system is now fully installed. A modern wheel lathe and technical service platforms have also been completed. Inside the administration building, the installation of internal doors has been finished, while other teams continue painting walls and installing suspended ceilings.

Signal Box & Rectifier Station
Both facilities are being submitted for successive technical inspections. Installation of railway signalling (SRK) equipment and safety systems continues in the new signal box, while the rectifier station is awaiting its permanent power supply.

Tracks & Overhead Electrification
Track works continue at a rapid pace. Crews are installing and aligning additional tracks both inside the maintenance hall and in the outdoor yard. Overhead line gantry walkways have already been installed above the tracks, while rigid overhead catenary systems are now being fitted inside the hall.

External Infrastructure
Significant progress is also being made outside the buildings. Paving crews are constructing roads and pedestrian walkways around the signal box and maintenance hall. Modern storage tanks and the infrastructure serving the fueling station have already been completed. Finishing works on the retaining walls are also ongoing.
